Randy, how are ya!
Well, Oklahoma has been trying me this year. This is a short cap of the year so far: Cold as a witches tit and a lot of ice; one week of spring which at time I was in a cast and on crutches; summer so hot that Lucifer went back to Hell so he could cool off; one week of fall; drought and bugs; and now nado's and earth quakes. Probably have 10 inches of snow in my drive tomorrow LOL.

What kind of Ruger did you get Jeff. I have a single six convertible in 9mm/357. One of the 500 blue Lipsey specials. It is a Ruger New Model BH thathas the smaller frame and grip like the original 3 screw, 5 1/2" brl, flat top, and the .45 colt and a acp cylinder.

I love shooting any bigbore handgun. I'm partial to a .44 Mag, and I'd LOVE to get my hands on a .500 or a .460 S&W.

Todd, glad to hear that the doc got you some meds. It is amazing what some good rest will do for healing the body. As I get older, you would think that my body would be like a kid again with the amount I sleep LOL. That is until the insomnia sets in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Haven't slept more than an hour or two at a time in two weeks. I have to lay in bed for 10 hours to sleep 5, and all that laying around just makes me that much more sore. Hoping the codine will help somewhat. That does play hell on the back and ribs, not to mention the legs and hips getting tired too. I feel for you bro. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I used to have a Redhawk 44mag, not bad but it gave all the kick I wanted.

The 454 is nice as well plus you can shoot the 45 colt through it also .

I used to have a Redhawk 44mag, not bad but it gave all the kick I wanted. I had a S&W 629 once upon a time. Carried it on my hip when I was deer hunting. I had a doe get under my tree stand one morning before daylight, and when it got light enough to shoot I couldn't get my rifle on her. I just leaned out, held on to the tree with one hand and shot her with the other. I can shoot a .44 Mag one handed as good as I can shoot any other pistol, recoil just doesn't bother me at that level.

I used to have a Redhawk 44mag, not bad but it gave all the kick I wanted. I had a 4" .45 Colt. It was nice until you fired a heavy load off. A .45 colt can be loaded up hotter than a .44 mag in the Redhawk. Ouch!
