I didn't screw up during the narration of the ball and my date and everyone else seemed to have a great time.
The general came up to me and said he thought I did a great job and loved the fact that I didn't try to hide my accent. He said it sounded very natural and reminded him of the diversity in the Corps. I have a pretty thick southern draw/twang. Congratulations JJ. I knew you would make us proud.

Yes it is. They will go in my safe as I plan to keep them. I collect silver, gold and any other preciousness metals I can get my hands on. My dad used to bring me to flea markets and yard sales when I was a kid. He taught me to buy silver coins whenever I could. Silver quarters sold for 50 cents at yard sales back then. Now they are as high as $10 at some inflated coin dealers.

HOLY SMOKE! Are those coins old ones on new ones that were made? Old ones. Washington quarters are pre-1965. The new silver ones are Lady Liberty.

Not a bad return on your investment. Great for SHTF moments too. I don't think the economy will crash, but if it does, precious metals will once again be the preferred currency.

My cousin works in a credit union. A while back, an old man came in and fed two quart jars of mercury dimes and buffalo nickels into the change counting machine. She got them for face value.
