I just can't take the cold like I used to. Just getting old, I guess. I have a bad knee with arthritis in it, I have to keep it warm, because once it gets cold I am done for

I've got one of the slabsided MkII Rugers, and it shoots like a rifle anyway. If you had a way of putting a stock on one it would greatly improve accuracy. But you'll also be going into the SBR territory as well, meaning tax stamps and such to be legal, IIRC. Do need a tax stamp on something I make? I just checked, and it appears that adding a stock to a pistol with a barrel of less than 16 inches is indeed considered an SBR and subject to NFA regs. Some older Lugers and Walthers are exempt, but they were made before WWII DO NOT TAKE THIS AS "THE" AUTHORITY, but I think a stock that is not attached, IE held on by say gripping the pistol grip does not require a tax stamp. What I mean is if you have a "Butt stock" that just fits up to the the pistol grip and is held on by hand pressure ONLY it is permissible without a permit.

I have a bad knee with arthritis in it, I have to keep it warm, because once it gets cold I am done for I'm wondering if this trouble with my elbow and wrist isn't arthritis. Heat really helps it, and that's about all that does help.
