Never even been around a suppressed weapon. There is a guy here just down the block from the Sheriff's office that is into class III weapons. Guess I need to get in touch with him and get his input.

If you've got someone close it'd be handy to get his input. Especially with the Form 4 process.

Wait a minute, IF I get another barrel for my 20gauge mossy I can chop off the barrel to any length I want it it will be legal if I get that $5.00 tax stamp? OR does it have to be "Manufactured" that way.

You could maybe do a Form 1 and make one.

Oh Yeah, I would for sure look him up with help on the paperwork. I've just first got to decide on a weapon, then come up with the bucks. BUT I have also thought about a .920 inch stock for the 10/22 I have and just get the barrel.

I think there's a short barreled shotgun which is the $200 and then there is the AOW which is $5.

a serbu is a AOW but I think a shotgun with a stock and barrel shorter than 18" is a SBS.

I totay could be wrong though... wonky laws...

Meh, I'll just probably pick up another used barrel and chop it off to 18 1/2 inches this time, now that I know the CORRECT way to measure it.

Lazi, you may be right. I'm not so sure, but I do know the shorty is an AOW

lots of confusion with loopholes and nooses when it comes to what's legal and illegal. kind of why I figure I should stick with an airgun until I'm spending most my time on my own land.

And don't forget the BG Parang! If it's good enough for The Walking Dead and Terra Nova, it's good enough for me!

Yeah, if it comes to a SHTF situation, I'm not worrying about the BATF.
