Patty was messing around on the computer today, with some kind of program about securing a wireless internet. She got some instructions from youtube and followed them and they did not work. Our internet (wireless) was FUBAR and completely well, it just wasn't there.
I got a number for linksys from our ISP and called them. Long story short, after being on the phone for close to an hour (and wanting to only get our wireless internet back up and running) they wanted to charge us $169.00 to fix NUMEROUS errors before the wireless would work again. I told them we couldn't afford it now and to call back next month.
I went searching through out disks and FINALLY found the one for the wireless router. I installed it, changed a name, added some passwords and we are now up and running (again) on a secured wireless network. So we can both set and play with our laptops!
