I didn't pretty it up much after realizing this design makes it extremely hard to take the gun out of the holster.

It will look similar. I like the simple design and using one piece of plastic, but I need to figure out how to make it easier to draw.

I actually stretched that all by hand. I couldn't figure out a way to get compression on all sides of the holster with a press. So, I used my hands and a steel rod to push the kydex under the top of the chamber area.

What's the hangup on the draw? Front sight?

Thats the Hard part JJ. I form fit the bottom of the holster and then make and keep a cahannel for all the rest of the parts. My first few looked good but had some inherent problems. Its a lot of trial and error.

Saw on another forum that the 1911 Uncle Mike's kydex will fit the MkIII 22/45

The hang up is where the trigger guard meet the grip. The kydex forms into the indentation and makes it very tight. Once I pull it past that part, it comes out clean. I knew that would be an issue, but figured the slits (there are three) would allow the kydex to flex. It does, but is still very hard to get it past that initial grip.
