We've got a couple of those here too.

I don't have a problem with the guys doing traffic, but it ticks me off when they all decide to pull cars at the same time. Seems like they do it on purpose sometimes.

I have had my mother side of the family for years. I have them traced back to the 1500's in Ireland. Dads side was harder. But now that the leg work is done there is tons on the net about my family.

The internet would make it much easier to do a family tree, I'd say. Maybe I should try to track down some info on these slow nights at work.

I will admit to slamming a dispatcher on purpose when they get nasty on the radio. I have made as many as 30 stops during a shift and still shagged calls. Everyone one else was doing the same.

The Sheriff says to NOT CONCENTRATE completely on traffic and that's ok, but with only one of us here and you got 4 deputies all at the same time and each one has from 2-6 per vehicle..... We've got two dispatchers and 8 deputies on a good night, more often than not it's only about 6 deputies. But when all six stop cars in just a couple minutes time, I begin to believe something's up.

They can swamp us pretty quick. (We don't have MDT's yet)

We have MDT's but they are an officer safety issue on traffic stops. We call them out.

Our guys that do have MDT's call in their stops, but will run their own tags and license info usually. (If they feel it's safe to do so) Providing the readbacks is my job, and I don't mind it a bit. I just don't like it when they decide to gang up on us and pull a bunch at once.
