NEAT, where is that tribe from MB?

They've gotten bad enough before that the shift Lt. got on the radio and told them to cut out the stops. I've even heard them laugh about it in the duty room when they didn't know I was around. That's the kind of juvenile crap that I don't appreciate at all.

We don't have any MDT's at all. We do everything.

We generally don't hit dispatch on purpose. Unless there is a particular person in dispatch on our channelthats a pain. We did have a nice smackdown when a dispatch supervisor got a little big for their britches and started doing some crazy stuff. That got ugly fast but in the end they understood that they aren't a patrol supervisor.

We're gonna be consolidating with EMS and Fire dispatch in the next couple of years. Lots of stuff will be changing, first and foremost that we'll be 911 dispatch, not necessarily Sheriff's office dispatch.

I'm not real fond of the way they're doing things, but you can't stop progress. Or so I've been told.

Actual work, although it can get hectic at times, is our job. But when we get played, which is VERY rare, well that's a different story. The Sheriff stresses that WE are THEIR support system, their (welfare/safety) comes first as it should. But when they "Just want to have fun", words have been said a few times. and the Sheriff has also told them to not to "Gang up" on us just because they're bored.

Thats our biggest problem. 911 dispatchs sucks from an LEO perspective. We pay them but they no longer work for or really with us. When it changed a huge rift came between us and them. We used to be a team. And 911 authority makes dispatch do crazy crap which eventually affects us.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of here. We're a family here, right now. Even though we have our days, we're still family. But when we get over there, there won't be that sense of brotherhood that we have now.

That was kind of exciting. The dog bit the arm with the bedliner sprayed on it, but only for a few seconds. He then switched to the UN sprayed legs of the suit! Seems the dog realized he wasn't going to get anywhere with the bedliner.
