I've seen the mountains there from a birds eye view out of the tiny windows in a comercial bird, but that sounds awesome. I have seen the Afghan mountains from the back of a C 130 though. It actaully looked peaceful.

Just got back from over in Pa from doing some shopping and dinner. We also stopped at a gun shop to get a chance to handle a couple of handguns I'm interested in buying.

I want a 1911 22cal or a 1911 in 9mm, I want the sig 22 but the 9mm is either going to be a taurus 1911 or a fullsize DA/SA of some kind. Any recommendations on the 9mm? My wife wants to get one for me for Christmas(Love that woman, I was looking at the sig, taurus and even a kimber pro in 9mm today and she says to me what about an H&K? Now I really have to think about it. The only thing I know for sure is I want the sig 1911 in 22cal.

just running though...

but caz you should take a look at the FNH series of pistols. there's the FNX line but even the older FNP pistols are an excellent option and not a heap of money. I've been really happy with my FNH stuff. Plan on getting a 9mm FNX sometime in 2012.

The Sig is a good choice but for a 9mm that,s a tuff one there are so many to choose from, i ended up with the glock 34 but that was because it was a no brainer . i really liked the looks and feel of the HK p 30L you just don't see them used that often.
