Robert at HandSewnLeather.com hooked me up with some new pants for my Scrapper 6. I am very pleased with the fit and finish. Heavy welt, cross draw, veg tanned, with a snug fit. She is ready for the woods now!

Hmmmm interesting. I've never thought seriously about a cross draw for a sheath knife.

Oh and does it still work if you got dunlap disease? You know where your belly dun lapped over your belt!

Yes it does still work, and I do have that condition!! It works better for me in a cross draw when I hog hunt with my dogs because I can come across and draw quicker when I need to if I'm in a tight spot with a hog. It also is a better solution for me than a leg tie when I sit down in camp. The knife just wraps around my side and into a easy to reach position instead of vertical. Robert Jones is a master on the cross draw sheath, he uses them a bunch on his woods rigs as well. Just keeps everything out of the way and where it needs to be for me....

That SOG is quite the outfit. Nice leather. I did my Hog Muk in a kydex crossdraw and like it very well.

That is a nice looking setup you have there, it looks huge and like it would get in the way but I guess if you are out in the field it would be an ideal setup especially if you have a sidearm on your strong side.

My mother told me if didn't have anything nice to say then don't say anything but that never stopped me before.

That's actually Robert (Beowulf) of Handsewn Leather in a promo photo from his website. I don't own any Sog Knives but I hear they are pretty good. I will stick with my Rats and Scraps!

I was just showing what the cross draw looks like on someone. I love the way it keeps blades out of my way in the woods without having to use a legstrap.
