I am not a spammer, just a guy who wants to spread the news about a good site for paracord gear (I have asked a moderator if it would be OK to post this here and he said it was.)

I won a giveaway on Bladeforums for a removable D-Guard. I PMed the benefactor and asked him about what other stuff he made because I have always been interested in finding a site that carries quality paracord gear. He told me about all the stuff he makes and I got really excited! My D-Guard even arrived with a free chopping lanyard that I put on my NMSFNO. It is awesome, basically it attaches to the talon hole and is a braided lanyard with a hole weaved in for your finger. You put your thumb in and it makes it so accidental slipping of the hands won't happen. It is also very comfortable and I use it all the time now.

Anyways, I was so grateful for this Hog/Dog's generosity that I started building a website for him. I did it to say thanks, but also so that I would have a site to go to buy paracord gear to complement my Busse & Kin blades & other survival/camping gear. He makes a multitude of gear and there is even some bigger stuff that is not on the site yet (belts, rifle/sheath slings, et. al.) As of this moment, the site has several different products that he makes at what I think are awesome prices.

I want to post the site here for two reasons. First, I want some constructive criticism as it has been years since I've made a website, and I was never very good with the creative stuff. Also, I genuinely believe that it is a site that a lot of us can benefit from having around, I know I will.

The URL for the site is: Barnesbands.biz

Take a look at the site, and let me know what you think of it. If he makes any stuff you've been looking for, send him an email and he'll help you out. I have become close friends with him throughout this process, and he is a really great guy all-around who shares the same passion for Busse & Kin steel as we all do.

P.S. I receive no kickbacks from this site (I'll stake my beloved JYD status on that) and am once again just posting this for your critique and in case you have been looking for a site that sells quality paracord gear for us knife fanatics.

I am not very good at website design, especially the layout and look. That being said, I do want your feedback about the layout, the usability, and the overall look of the site. I also want suggestions on what you think should be added or taken away from the site, or if any part is confusing. One thing to note is that I plan on adding a Digital Checkout system with a Shopping Cart when I am able to.

Thanks a lot, I REALLY appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks for looking!!

ETA: Our friend and Dog Lazi designed the logo! There's so many good people in this community!

I like the simplicity of finding my way around the site. Many I have been to are so confusing I don't even bother. It's straightforward, simple yet gets the products displayed in a fashion that even I can understand. Thanks Ryan.

I just looked over the site, and foud a few typos. I made the site in only a few hours, but it took a month or so because of my schedule. Bare with any mistakes, I will get them fixed!

Thank drbarnes on BF for that. I made the site because I really wanted this kind of stuff, especially from someone who collects Busse & Kin.

Any constructive criticism about the site? I can take it.

One thing I'm going to setup is image zoom, where you can click on a picture and it pops up and you can zoom.

I'm a sucker for simple web sites, and I generally think it looks great.

The only things that stands out at me as disruptive (warning, personal opinion ahead):

* Thick and bright white border on the images, maybe use a width/color closer to the style/color-scheme of the rest of the site

* Inconsistencies in image spacing from page to page

* On the wristbands page I would move all the text up before the images so it is easily seen, I almost missed it until I took a second look

Awesome! I was aware of the inconsistencies in the spacing, but everything else you pointed it is great! Thanks man. I can make a lot of different boarders for the images, so maybe I'll try something that blends a bit better. And good call about moving the text up on the bands section.

Thanks man! That's exactly what I was hoping for. Anyone else got anything?

Also, on the colors page, specifically the bottom photo, do you think I should rotate the text to sort'be match the angle of the (cardboard) paracord holder?

Thanks PK! I'm glad you like it!

Who knows, maybe I'm the only one who is paracord challenged, but I really love to have a spot to buy this stuff at. He just showed me the new colors the other day, and I'm thinking of making some cool color combos for lanyards for some of my blades. My lanyards always look like crap.

I think as a gag, I'll get my girlfriend a Band/bracelet in Neon Pink. She might actually like it if I don't tell her it's a survival tool. Haha.
