Thank you all for the encouragement and constructive criticism!

Is there anything that you would like to see offered?

I like simple layout of web sites. Sounds like you on track to making a very nice one.

nice work flux. looking at the site and it's nice and clean. too the point and nobody can be mistaken about what's available and how to get it.

some info I would add to the site...

barnes says he is open to ideas in his post. maybe make a page or a link to a custom orders page and explain what kind of work barnes is willing to get into.

also I noticed he refers to his years making lanyards on the page where he shows his personal bracelet. it may be a good idea to put up some "about barnes" info.

if you are not into the social networking stuff it my be good idea to at least link to a flickr or photobucket page and post updates of cool bands that you make. you will probably get a lot of "one like that" orders in that way. i remember black skull beads was a popular thing around here a while back when a dog posted some of his handy work. I have a couple of those myself.

very cool of you flux! good luck to oh barnes.

oh... can you do belts?

Lazi, you make very good points. We have discussed linking to a photobucket account, and other options, not only to show gear that he has made, but also some stuff that he currently has available - premade stuff.

This site is still in its infantile stage. It will grow and for Barnes sake, become an awesome site where every Busse & Kin fan can get all of their paracord gear. And trust me when I say that Mr. Barnes is a great guy. He even acted as a proxy for me at the INDY show yesterday. They didn't have anything I was looking for, but it was still awfully nice of him.

I like the idea of adding some "about Barnes" info.

Thanks for chiming in, and thanks for the great suggestions!

I'm putting together a list of what I want from him now. I want a lanyard for each of my blades, including some more chopping lanyards for all my big stuff, and I might ask for a belt when I have the cash.

Here's a pic of the chopping lanyard Barnes included with my D-guard during the GAW. I want one for my DF and incoming B-10s too. Apparently, the Res-C lanyard hole is too thin for the chopping lanyard I have, but Barnes can make em for Res-C too I guess.

This is just a pic I took to show off my Rainwalker sheaths to friends. I couldn't be happier with all of the sheaths I have from him!

For some reason, my pics show up upside down sometimes. Let me know if that happens.

I should be making some changes to the site fairly soon to make it more user friendly. I plan on changing some pics around, adding a zoom function to the pictures, adding more pictures and eventually adding a gallery. I also want to pass control onto Barnes so he can manage content. Any one have any other features they think would be cool?

I just placed an order for a couple of Bands, a few lanyards & a chopping lanyard for my Dog Father <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />.

I want more stuff, but it's hard to decide on exactly what I want.

Has anyone placed any orders? If so, I'd love to see pics and get a review. All I have is one chopping lanyard now, which is something that I can't live without now that I have it. I can't wait to get one for the Dog Father. Currently I just use a piece of paracord that I wrap around my thumb, but it really doesn't compare. I'm excited to see how much I like the other stuff.

Nice!! That's exciting. What'd you get? Share some pics if ya can.

I ordered:

1. Barnes Band - Black & Gecko, Loop & Knot (for fashion)
2. Barnes Band - OD double thick with buckle (for camping)
3. Chopping Lanyard for my DDF - OD & Tan (camp I think?)
4. Lanyard for my ASH or BJ - OD & Black or OD & Urban Camo
5. Lanyard for my Blue & Black G-10 BAD. I left that one up to David.

I'm really psyched to get my first order. I think I will order lanyards for all of my users and zipper pulls for my pack. I'll probably get a few D-Guards too, but haven't decided. It's awesome to have found a source for such quality stuff.
