The suspense is killing me, I received my first SYK today and I REALLY like it. I managed to sell my "other" 2 knives for an extra $200 and have a couple of other random archery items for sale in which I plan on putting my $$$ torwards a new blade. I am trying so hard to hold out for that 711 or 911 but the more I look and learn the more I see. I am seeing the coolest knives from the ENTIRE Busse family and I'm dyin here. Im checkin the bladeforum classifieds every 2 minutes like I check the fridge for something new to just magically appear. One of yall are gonna have to club me, drug me or just plain put me out because if the 711 or 911 don't come out soon I wont have any fingernails left HAHAHAHA All kidding aside Im goin nuts. Ill tell ya being on paternity leave is NOT helping my situation at all. Someone help me, talk me through the agony have having to wait.

Just think of the gratification of waiting till you get what you really want and don't settle for anything less.

I'm not a patient person either. But if you wanna deal with the Busse group, you'll have to learn patience. Otherwise you will go nuts!

If you can find a Busse A Rat or a dog with res-c its the only way to satisfy the wait. Res-c is a must on choppers, the Micarta looks cool but for serious chopping its Res-c all the way.

I have a cg Dog Father...the wait is worth it

I am not really looking for a "chopper" per say, I want the ability to baton without worry of blade failure, I will most likely have a small camp hatchet for if I should have to chop something. I want something stout enough to process 4-6" logs for firewood.

The handle material used by Scrap Yard. It is a rubber that is firm grippy and really helps dampen impact vibrations. The busse basic series uses it and older Swamp Rats

Resoprene, (spelling?) Is the handle material on the Scrapyard blades. More forgiving than micarta under impacts like chopping.
