Please someone tell me what a "Ganza" is

It's an opportunity to raid the trough, stomp some Hogs, get some steel <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> via the internets...

A Ganzza is an extravaganzaa in which we frenzy. There will be a time and place announced soon, and the knives available will be shown. Then we race via email, to get what we want. Usually there are some cool blades available in smaller quantities, so you gotta be quick.

Usually someone here will post up a link here, after Jerry posts the Ganzaa info on Bladeforums. You can watch the Busse forum on bladeforums, to see for yourself.

I want a satin bowie RMD really BAD <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />. Hopefully they have some <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

In short:

-Jerry Busse announces an upcoming Ganzaaa on the bladeforums.com Busse sub forum.
-Jerry waits an undisclosed amount of time (while the forums go nuts waiting) and announces some of the Busse Combat, Busse Custom Shop, and (if we are lucky) Busse Kin (Swamp Rat and SYCKO) knives that will be up for grabs in the Ganzaaa. You choose what you would like to have a chance to order.
-Jerry waits another undisclosed amount of time and uses his divine judgment and superb showmanship to spring a Ganzaaa date and time window. The time window is usually something like Tuesday 11/1/2011 9pm-10pm EST(hope, hope).
-You get an email listing the knives you want to order ready send in the split second that Jerry posts GO GO GO…… on Blade Forums.

A WORD OF WARNING ABOUT GANZAAS:

People on BF are not brothers like we are here, they try to trick each other to send the emails out too early and will put up fake "GO GO GO" postings and do other things to dissuade you from participating.

If you email comes in BEFORE the real GO is announced you go to the end of the queue, which usually means no knives for you.

Good call. I have lost out due to some of those shady characters.

How are the prices? I am on paternity leave right now so I can stay on the computer nonstop HAHAHAHA So are you orderinf items he already has on hand or items he will remake?

Like the 511 on SYK right now, if I order 1 am I ordering an actual knife for immediate shipping or am I ordering a knife then have to wait for it to be made?

It's different for different products and different ganzaa's. Some of the custom shop pieces are ready for immediate delivery. They've also been known to do small releases in the ganzaa's, and those have to be manufactured.

I wouldn't sweat the small details. It will be more clear once Jerry announces the Ganzaaa, and you see what is / is not available. You know what they say when you ASSUME too much?

I am really not to concerned about the Ganza as I really do have my heart set on a 711 or 911 and I am so new to all of this BUT if I can find a Older Swamp Rat Ratweiler with the micarta and finger groove im going to be all over that IF I can afford it. This knife is calling my name
