Dan (or anyone else who wishes to chime in) what would you recommend a 711 accompanied by a camp axe or a 911 accompanied by a smaller knife? I cant wait to see what the spine thickness is going to be on the 711 and 911

I'd take the 911 and the 411 for anything that I'd ever need to do. But I highly suspect the 711 would probably be better than the 911 for everything except chopping.

RTH, if the 711 comes out next im gettin that and a nice camp axe, I dont plan to chop my firewood with a knife HAHAHA although im sure in a pinch it will work just fine. If the 911 comes out next wellll I dunno HAHAHA

I've chopped many a stick for campfires with a 7 inch blade. Not the logs, mind you, but smaller sticks. Biggest was probably 4 inches thick. The Dogfather would have been much easier. But so would my Husqvarna chain saw.
