Hell yes I can post a pic, it would me my pleasure.

This is my new RMD (obviously HAHAHA) and a design for the sheath I am going to attempt to make when all of my Kydex gear comes in. I have NEVER made a sheath of any kind before so this is going to be an experience. I am having trouble making a decision on how I want the thumb release to look, if I want to go with that upward swoop or the line that has been drawn underneath the swoop. I will make an attempt to cut my slots with my dremel, as I made a couple of cuts yesterday and it turned out pretty durn decent. The slots are for that benchmade buckle pouch I bought specifically for this knife and sheath. The RMD IS solid, heavy and a fine addition to the beginning of my Bussekin collection. like I said in another post the ONLY thing I would change is the spine width. I REALLY thought I was going to pair this knife up with the 711 but I have decided to hold out (or TRY to) until the 911 comes out as I feel this will be the more financially responsible match to this RMD. Im just hopin that the 911 has at least a 1/4"-5/16" spine on it HINT HINT. Without further ado here she is :-)

If your sheath turns out as nice as your drawing it will be pretty sweet! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Looks great I was kinda sad when I found the RMD just didn't fit my hand. I like your sheath concept do show pics when you make it and your Glock holster.

You may want to consider that hinges will limit the compression (pressure) on that side of your press. And on the sheath, maybe add a rivet a little closer to the choil to to add retension pressure at the quillon. You're sure to enjoy your new hobby.
Peace

Hooker I had thought about that so I made the hinged plate shallower than what the press will be when it has the 2 1" foam pads. I do plan on adding a retention rivet but I will not know where to place it until after the sheath has been pressed. I will have to toy with a couple of different spots to get the perfect retention pressure and then I will know where to set the final eyelet.

My press is with my manufacturer right now, 1/4 steel plate top and bottom, steel "L" section frame four side and over the top to accommodate a pneumatic bottle jack... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ill tell ya the more I hold it and just admire such a fine piece of steel the more I like it. The flip side though is that Dumpster Mutt is wreaking havoc in my brain. Im REALLY liking that DM but I am trying not to let it get the best of me.
