Got the Butler Creek scope covers rattle canned and on the 308. Really like the SpecOps Master blaster sling and Talon sling swivels.

I just replaced my USGI canteens with Nalgene Oasis units. Also picked up new US made canteen cups.

I just replaced my USGI canteens with Nalgene Oasis units. Also picked up new US made canteen cups. A quality canteen and cup is always a good buy. I use the Nalgene liter bottle with nesting steel cup. It serves me well in adition to the bladder in the pack. I like having measurements on the bottle and cup.

The bottle/cup combo works well. My stove and a fuel canister fit inside my cup which makes a nice package.
I figured it was time to modernize my canteen setups. I will be looking to make/buy an alcohol based stove next. I have not ventured down that path yet, but it looks like an interesting alternative. Options are good.

I usually just make a little pit out of rocks or something and chop sticks (about one inch diameter) into 2 inch sections for fuel. A little bit of coals from the camp fire get it going. If I were to get an actuall stove, I would get something made for wood fuel like the one Arch uses with his canteen setup.

I got that Coleman liquid fuel stove today. It came with a silver plastic case, is a one burner. It is the Coleman model 508 and I got it for $20.00! I tested it out at the flea market and it works great!

It's an older stove but has gotten some good reviews I found. It's also got two levers. One is nothing more than a gas on gas off lever and the other one is the adjustment lever. Seemed to work really well when I test fired it.
BUT, I can't find a manual for it anywhere on line. If anybody has one of these stoves, think you could copy it and email it to me or even snail mail it?

Got a cheap Galco plastic holster in for the Rock 1911 9mm in today. Pretty darn nice for the money. I paid 23ish bucks for it. While it isn't BladeTec it is nice. Some range time is in order for tomorrow.
Oh, got some beautiful Tripp mags in for the above as well.
