Adapter hose to run propane stove from large tanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Now just need a burner or stove.

If you have an old Coleman stove, the propane replacement that WalMart sells for about $20.00 works quite well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I'll look into that replacement burner.

Also bought some high grade butane for my Solo Storm lighter. Didn't like the bernz-o-matic that I use for the bbq lighter. Now works just fine.

Ruger 10/22M

It's going to be my lightweight, takedown project.

MTK,

Nice gear!
Thanks Omar.
Speaking of a takedown 10/22.....It's not a mag.,but sweet nonetheless.

Ordered 6 superstrikers from firesteel.com today and contracted with DT to make me up some more of his Cotton ball Magnesium Petroleum jelly mix in those aluminum containers. I'M really liking that mix and carrier.

Way to go Timo, I got a 2 lit camelback type system early last month. I still need to get a 1 lit pot and some kind of stove and I'll have my SHTF cooking set made up. Water carrier, cooking set and something to cook on.

I'm very pleased with my storm kettle. But I think those firebox type stoves might be a good choise when just camping not hiking.

I thought long and hard about the kettle, but since all you can do is boil a liquid in them I have decided on getting a pot. I already have a SS frypan with lid along with a 1/2 lit pot and a cup. With the pot I will have frying and boiling covered. The small backpacking stoves that burn wood may not be the best in the world, but would work in a pinch and COULD be used for a week or so if the situation was bad enough. PLUS I have a small coleman one burner white gas stove as well.

No, I don't think that you have JJ. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I would say I like your sig line JJ, but I don't want to get called into court as a witness for the Plantiff! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
