Have you ever seen the red dots mounted above or beside a tradional scope? You get the best of both worlds that way. Burris makes a mount for that setup too.

Burris has a few combo packages like this ranging from about $500 to about $900. I have played around with this setup up on an AR build and it was accurate and a blast. The magnification scope was zeroed in at 300 yards and the red dot was at 50 yards. It made transitioning from engaging nearby evil steel targets to far away evil steel targets a breeze and fun.

liking your .22 setup. doubt I will have can dough anytime soon but the pistol and red dot will be on the birthday list for next year.

and the zombie ammo marketing is working on me. I probably wouldn't even buy it to shoot the stuff. just to have some in the stash since you can only shoot zombies with it.

just remebered that a company called elite ammunition made some zombie ammo in 5.7x28.

I like the scope and red dot combo. I have a Leupold mark AR scope like that and it is even in the same mount. with .308 in mind I was thinking about getting a eotech sight. and a 2.5by10 or 3.5by12 or maybe even a 4.5by16 scope for the long range stuff. I should with good mounts be able to take the sights on and off and not have my zero shift to far.

I like the EOtech with the 3x magnifier.
