Been out of the loop. You know how life gets,and then things happen. So what is the deal with the B4? I have so little time these days that don't think I have the time to go through the BF threads BS; besides the Yard has the greatest guys.

I read this thread and got the newsletter. To me the blade looks kinda like a Yard Keeper (I loved mine except the handle was a little small) and a HRLM (love it but it is a bit heavy for a trail blade). Then I read something about a thick and a thin version? I am not sure what my thoughts are on it right now.

How long will it be available, how long is the discount good, anyone need to order an extra so there will be the better discount?

The WarDog type handle should be great with this blade! I'm planning on one of each myself! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Oh, choice of black or tan handles as well!

I have been spending entirely too much time fondling my War Dog (for the handle), Scrap Muk, HRLM, and Hog Muk pondering the thin vs. thick dilemma. With maybe the exception of the War Dog, all could be exceptional at game processing or general camp knives.
Their respective thicknesses are: .235, .190, .190, .165
The B4 and both Muks have a 4.25” blade, the HRLM, 4.13”
These three all have blade heights of about 1-3/8”. The B4 appears to have a blade height of at least 1.5”
So after much contemplation, I have decided that there should be no need for a thickness of .220 in a blade of this style and purpose. As long as I don’t need to pry with it, .155t should excel for any task.
Two colors would still be cool though.
