I have never done anything like that or even etched anything with acid, but I watched a few tutorials and am certain I can do it. The whole complex photo-print-stencil-film is my figuring on how to do it without having to freehand it.

If this turns out the way I see it in my mind, it will be the coolest Katana ever, and the coolest Marine Corps sword too I think. I kow it will be the coolest Marine Corps NCO Katana as it will be the only one.

Will be my second blade mod. The first was the bayonet. Since this won't require cutting hardened steel, I think it will be easier, but require more finesse since it needs to be a looker not a tank like the bayonet.

I originally started researching swords for a quality backyard slasher. Figured it would be cool to use a sword instead of a machete when camping. But, now I got all carried away and will probably not have the nerve to useit once I put all this work into it. It will end up hanging up on the wall in my office next to my uniform sword.
