I know a couple that bought it while riding. I came close one time myself, but thankfully I came out of it ok.

I had a buddy that was running about 150 mph trying to catch up to the group that he was riding with. He got caught by a stop light and decided to try and catch up.

An old lady pulled out in front of him in a big Lincoln Town Car. He turned the car nearly 180 degrees. All his fault, but still gone.

My close experience was pulling out to pass a car on a two lane road and not seeing an oncoming car. By the time I saw it, it was too late to do anything but go over next to the car I was passing. I probably had less than a foot on either side as the oncoming car passed.

We usually eat around here by 8pm or so, and by 3am we're raiding the snack machines.
