I like your way of thinking! If I didn't already have a SOD, MilReg and a BullDog I'd be getting a 711. Actually I think that for me the 711's blade profile would be more to the way I use my larger knives. But there's just something about the Bowie Profile......

You know If you contact Busse Combat, they might be willing to work out something with you. PayPal, Certified/cashier's check or something. Worse they could is day no.

Or is it one of the Steel heart blades. I can't afford Busse's so I don't bother keeping up with their models.

Ash it is! It was the first Busse I ever saw and it knocked my socks off!

Folks that have the Ash blades really like them, at most of the folks. Some have said that the blade had to much width (edge to spine) for them. It all depends on what you plan on using it for. And It is a nice looking knife.
