Best trout I've ever had was fixed on a grill wrapped up in tinfoil with onions, peppers, some lime juice and of course salt and pepper.
When I was in Idaho we would go out to the Military marina on the C.J. Strike reservoir and catch striped perch. One day we caught 88 and filleted all of them. Boy they were good eating when drenched in tempura batter and deep fried.

we have a hawk that nests in our back tree every year
when we still had the avairy out back it used to drive it nuts I think that would be really neat. We have a hawk that lives somewhere around our neighborhood somewhere, I see him setting in trees every once in a while and hear him quite a bit.

Randy If you get the chance you need to watch Alone in the wilderness and Alone in the wilderness 2 Dick Proenneke was a guy that retired to Alaska and lived alone for 29 years and documented a lot of it with a diary and movie camera
