One side effect of being on here is that every time we go "Out and about" I am always looking around determining how this place, or that place would do for a "Get outta Dodge" site. I am always evaluating the amount of downed trees for building materials/firewood and areas prone to flooding and availability to a food and water source. Kinda fun.
i do the same

Subject change again, and I've said this before, but the more I carry my edc metal soapdish FAK the more I like it. I just wish I could find a container small enough (a squeeze tube) to fit in it. And I STILL haven't put any alcohol wipes in it. I do have a couple germ-x wipes in there though.

And I just thought of something. I have been seeing a lot of little aluminum "Tea Balls" at the flea markets. I think I need to get one and put in my BOB. It would be handy for a lot of things. You could even line it with a paper towel and use it to brew coffee.

I've already added some temporary filling material to my mental "Need to get" stuff along with some ora gel that I think needs to be in my IFAK bag I got from Arch.

if you use tea balls only half fill them so that water can move through it and the tea/coffee to expand
