My partner dips, and spits into a bottle that he keeps on his desk. The other night, he was drinking Diet Mountain Dew of of a bottle,which happened to be the same kind of bottle as he was spitting into. He got them mixed up, and the results were both hilarious (for me) and stomach turning (for him) I've been there. At least he spits into a bottle and not in a cup.

We're technically forbidden to use tobacco in the building. Major got pissed a while back when someone left a spit cup in the briefing room, so my partner uses a bottle and takes it out in the morning and drops it in the outside trash can as we leave.

I don't dip or chew or smoke. Used to dip a long time ago, but haven't done it in 20+ years.

When I was a Lance Corporal I had it out with the entire shop (Private through Gunnery Sergeant and Marine Corps Captain) after I took out the trash and I had dip spit run all down my fore arm when I tossed the garbage in the dumpster. Nobody argued and everyone went on their merry way even though I was a dipper.
