I'm right on the edge of the Pisgah National Forest. It's a favorite hangout of mine.

Natahala is a little farther west of here, and of course there's the Great Smokey Mountain park.

I was born and raised right here Todd. But the place My Dad worked for had a really cool owner. He supplied a 3/4 ton pickup with a slide in camper for his employees to use, then a few years later he bought a 25 ft travel trailer and supplied a car to tow it with. The pickup was used along the east coast and the trailer out west. This was AFTER we did the station wagon (the family car) camping out west a couple of years.

Sounds like a great boss!

He was a VERY good owner/boss. For several years back in the 70's he was the largest Big Truck dealer between Memphis and St. Louis. And all this from a town the didn't even have 1000 people in it back then.

We never went on vacation except to go to the beach. Always the same beach too. I love the beach, but I like to do other things too.

I'm not complaining, mind you. I enjoyed our vacations at the coast. But now, later on, I wish we had done some other things.

I tend not to spend a lot on vacations. Usually gas is my biggest expense. I tend to go to remote locations and camp.
