I seriously considered buying a 7mm08 quite a few years ago. Plenty of rifle for around here.

it is plenty big for deer and medium sized game, imo it is the equal to the 270

I've got two 308's, a 600 Mohawk and the Rem 700 VLS. I need to get rid of that thing, it only weighs just over 10 pounds!

That Mohawk is a nice light rifle. It likes the lighter slugs though,

The guy I got it from was a hand loader and he worked up some really nice loads for it. That is what I shot when we traded. Haven't shot it since. It might light the heavier bullets as well, I just don't really know for sure.
