Its pretty steep but nothing horrible. You know you have been on a walk. Thats for sure.

One year on vacation, My parents and I (well DAD drove)drove up Pikes peak. We were in a 1961 Ford Falcon stationwagon loaded with camping gear, sort of. Dad had made a pallet in the back, that's where I rode. We had a coleman two burner stove, and a cooler for meat. Dad made a tent sort of thing to fit over the tailgate and extended out about 2 more feet with a plywood base that fit over the tailgate. That is where I slept while Mom and Dad were fully inside. IT WAS A BLAST! First time in my life I played on the snow in either June or July. Course this would be in about 64 or maybe 65.

Barr trail goes up the West/ Northwest face of the peak. The first few miles suck. Then its not so bad.

Enjoying a quiet Monday evening here, just got back from picking up the boy in Boone. Got into some think fog, so a 2 hour drive took about 3 hours.
