I don't miss waking up with a wolf spider the size of a cup saucer sitting on the wall next to your head. We use to get huge spiders in our old place on Vancouver Island

I don't know why but it is one of the best ways to sleep. Maybe its because it makes it sound twice as bad as it is outside and you are warm and dry in a comfy bed.

We don't have big spiders up here. Not enough bugs to keep them fed. At least thats my theory.

I wished I had that farm up here. That would be perfect.

I grew up on a working farm. Cattle and self sufficent. Large garden, orchards, wild pecans and walnut trees, ponds and rivers, 300 acres owned and 600 leased.

It was great. Fantastic fishing, deer and turkey hunting. I learned how to milk a cow by hand and paid for my schools clothes with pecans and walnuts, Spending money was from bucking hay for other farmers during the spring and summer. I learned a lot.
