I had thought they said it would work with any 223 upper. The lower is proprietary. You would need a block for the mag well to accept regular AR mags for the 223.

yup... the block is what allows it to fit in the lower. and it is a pattened block... so if I'm seeing this right they arent really selling AR15's they are selling a new type of AR platform rifle (AR10 maybe???) and Colt conversion blocks. But they are marketing as a convertible AR15. I haven't been listening for it but I wonder if they are acutally calling it a AR15 rifle. They could probaly lead to it all day and never actually say it.
But the iPod was an MP3 player for sure. You just had to have iTunes to use it... Companies always trying to push new proprietary formats as open systems.
I still like the idea of the rifle though... just recognize that Colt is in line to sell more block than rifles and uppers if it takes off. since it appears that the block is actually attached to the uppers....

Well patty and I made it to MINGO on GroundHog day and had a REALLY nice list of critters to capture through the cameras eye. I looked and figured it should really belong in the Outdoors and Fieldcraft section. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did taking them. I think that she did a good job.

Anyone know anything about the Pathfinder courses? They are doing one of the basic classes in the Everglades this month but it's kind of expensive but I'm interested

I don't really know much about it but I have heard some good things about their courses. Google them and see what kind of reviews you can find.

I've seen a few episodes and was pleasantly impressed by his "NO SPIN" way of going about things.

It's sounds good from what I've read online, it's 4 days of classes ( while camping in the Glades) but its 350 bucks, dunno, I think it will be worth it, seems super information packed, but still pricey ( they call for 10 to 12 hours of learning each day
