Yeah, but that almost half inch hole is sure tempting! Plus at the velocity you would be dealing with expansion would probably be very negligible so the bigger the original hole, the better.

The fatboy is smaller than I thought it would be though. It's only about half the size of my 511 push pack.

The 511 push pack WOULD carry your camera and you could put an extra lens in one of the side pouches. I carry a 28 ounce Stainless water bottle in one of the side pouches of mine. I did have a 1 liter Stainless bottle setting in a Stainless cup but it was actually to big for the side pouch and didn't set in it very well so I went to the smaller bottle.

The Fatboy won't carry a bottle (unless you put it inside the main pouch), but is sized really well for a "Man Purse" whereas the 511 is more for a light dayhike bag, holding a couple sandwiches, water bottle fire gear etc.

Well Maybe 2/3 the size. But it IS smaller.

Sounds like either of the two would work though.

BUT the 511 may work better.

I think you would be REALLY hard pressed to get a DSLR AND a second lense in the Fatboy without everything having to be jammed together in just the main compartment. With the 511 you could put the camera with lens attached in the main compartment and the extra lense in one of the side pockets.

And I'll bet the 511 pack is cheaper as well, isn't it?

And with the 511 you would still have room for your handgun and some other stuff.
