I always take hunting seriously. In camp with those two is always a treat.

I don't, for us the Pink Mountain trips are more about getting away and having fun with friends.
We usually have 4 or 5 in the group but it can be as high as 7.
Funny thing is we get at least one moose 4 out of 5 years on average, which is a high rate for the area.
Last time we went we got two moose and an elk, among four of us.

I almost always get into the Elk by myself. Not so much with my partners. They are great guys but they have always want to hunt differnt palces and never scout. They decided on a last minute trip and called me up asking if I would give them my best guess where the elk were that time of year. I got them in a good spot and they ahve decided that maybe being successful is better than nostalgia and being a backcountry tourist.

Whole different mindset when you hunt serious.
I am lucky, I have been hunting with my brothers since we were kids.
The one brother doesn't hunt much, and the other is hardcore, but when we hunt we don't have to talk much because we all know what the plan is.
It is great to not have to think about what your partner is going to do
And it has been great teaching our nephew

We usually head our seperate ways during the day when we hunt. But they always want to go places that they have never been or that they haven't scouted. I started going on my own because i got tired of not seeing anything. First year on my own I tagged out on my first day and then about every other year I get one.

Not bad for a bow and Elk on public lands.

I used to just use sight pins and finger shoot.
Iirc the axle to axle length on the magnaflyte was 48" with wood laminate limbs set at 75 lbs
Used to shoot easton 2219 aluminum arrows
