I don't follow sports, so it's easy for me to say "It's only a game". I think that many High Schools at least place TO much emphasis on sports, leaving the academic part to fend for itself, something that is detrimental to our entire country.

Duke and UNC is probably the biggest rivalry in all of sports, so we get worked up about it usually. In the region here, I'd bet the tv ratings would rival the Superbowl. Not nationally, of course, but locally.
