The more I look at the clear the less I like it. At first I thought it was really cool, but now I'm thinking it looks "cheap".

I have four or five Rainwalker kydex sheathes, and the craftsmanship is AMAZING. Jeff, the clear doesn't do justice to your work.

Thanks for the complement. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I pretty much agree with your points on not liking it, the only thing that I thought was kinda cool when I had finished it, was that I could read the "SYKCO" through it... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

One other point that doesn't agree with me is that it screams "Look What I've Got!!!". I like my sheaths to be a bit more subdued and less noticable. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

But if somebody likes them bold... this might be it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

If you gave the sheath a "cool" name I bet you'd sell a ton of them.

I recommend:

"The TSA X-Ray" because it looks like a scanner image (fleshy bits are transparent but the steel products are solid).

I LIKE IT!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You know... I was thinkin i'd be kinda interesting to have the same type clear handles too... Hey Dan, does Res-C come in clear by any chance? LOL! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I can't believe you don't have clear leather yet!

Of course that would be one crazy looking cow...

It looks OK, but if it cost more than regular kydex I would have to pass for sure.

Do they have tinted kydex?

PS as always your leather is sick!

It would go well with Wonder Woman's set up (invisible jet and all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> )

It's pretty neat. Looking forard to hearing the field reviews on how it holds up. Like always, nice work Jeff!

I think this is all kinds of awesome, sir.

From the looks of it, the translucent sheath shows the color behind it fairly well. I like my sheath to match my pack or whatever it is attached to. With that sheath, I could strap my blade to my desert pack and later to my jungle pack using the same sheath for both and the camouflage would match with the inherent nature of the translucency.

Now, if only someone would post some pictures of this translucent sheath on different color packs or slacks ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

You've heard of the Visible Man haven't you? Well there's also the Visible Cow! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm way ahead of you actually, already working on plans for a leather/clear kydex hybrid sheath. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Tinted kydex...not yet, but the clear is pretty new so who know what's next. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the complement. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
