When we see another person with a random nose bleed, we don't even bother being concerned anymore. It just inspires a "hey man, you got some blood coming out of your nose" comment. Anywhere else, I would be thinking, "dude, what's wrong?"

I picked this up before I left Salt Lake. It is a great lens, but not the best for low light since it is "slow," aperture is pretty small.

I think Patty's is 1.6 so multiply the 250 by that it comes out to about a 400.

Picassa is fine for simple adjustments, but if she wants pro-level software, get her GIMP. It is as powerful as Photoshop.

She has photoshop Elements 8 (I think it is) but she is just intimidated by all the capabilities/options available.
