I haven't had trouble with wolves but they are pretty thin here. I don't trust them for a second though.

I try to keep the gear light also. I've been thinking about Kelly kettle or Bushcooker instead of Trangia. The Trangia is very good cooker but you'll have to carry fuel and it's quite big in size.

I haven't had trouble with wolves but they are pretty thin here. I don't trust them for a second though. That's the word: trust! Don't trust them either. It's said that there are two packs here. About 20-30 wolves combined. They live about 40-50 km north from my home and they don't come here.

I think that setup would work well for nearly any heat source. But you are pretty much limted to boiling water, soup etc.

Timo, don't really know much about the Geography of your Country, but 40-50 K for a wolf isn't really all that much from what I have heard. As they become more acclimated to people, they will get bolder. YES, be careful!
