Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Cake
1 18 1/4-ounce package yellow cake mix
1 egg
8 tablespoons butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.

Filling
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 tablespoons butter, melted
1 16-ounce box powdered sugar

As it is cooking, every once in a while shake the tar out of it, so the center part will stay sort of soft/gooey/runny. When the surrounding edge and part way toward the center gets brown and the center has set up, BUT not firm, it's done. It is supposed to be sort of gooey/sticky in the middle section.

Jared, have you ever done work with Nate (Norcal Blacktail)?

I get the sense that Andy Roy doesn't really like to convex 1/8" blades. Thinking of sending a Scandi over to Nate and have him convex it. I don't want an extreme convexed edge, but may want to convex the primary bevel for better working profile.

Kindof interesting what happened last year....I know they still had knives for sale, but it seemed like the "discounts for future releases" kindof killed the opportunity for proxies.

Yeah, I sent a ratweiler in to Nate to have it worked on, he does some excellent work and turn around time isn't bad either, I've been fighting with the idea of sending a couple of projects that I haven't had the time to finish in to him, and maybe my zilla for a thinning down and a bead blast maybe ( not sure if he does that or not)
