BUT the Sheriff MIGHT have had ulterior motives. The Deputy that blew up the engine in the patrol car is working my shifts for me. Of course this is the same Deputy that last winter put his Tahoe into a tree on the ice AFTER the Sheriff told them to NOT be driving around unless they had to go on a call. The Deputy got bored at the office.....

I usually get first dibs. I have now officially been there 18 years, and I've been there longer than anyone else.

His punishment is your gain. Kind of a win win for you and the Sheriff anyway.

Yeah the Sheriff was kind of miffed at him both times. When he blew up the engine, he was going to a traffic stop the Highway Patrol was on so it wasn't even our stop PLUS he wasn't needed there. He was just bored and heard there might be some dope in the car. Turns out there was a felony amount of Grass.

Oh and did I mention there was another Deputy about a mile away who drove up on them and did stop.

Here if you wreck or mess up enough vehicle you might lose your job.

This particular Deputy was talked to quite sternly. I mean stuff does happen. BUT when you disobey one time, and just do something stupid the second time.....

Not anything to really be proud of, but nonetheless...

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Methamphetamine lab seizures rose nationally again in 2011, further evidence the powerfully addictive and dangerous drug is maintaining a tight grip on the nation's heartland, according to an Associated Press survey of the nation's top meth-producing states.

Missouri regained the top national spot for lab seizures in 2011 with 2,096, the AP confirmed through the survey that also found Tennessee was second with 1,687, followed by Indiana with 1,437, Kentucky with 1,188 and Oklahoma with 902.

Missouri had been the nation's No. 1 meth-producing state every year from 2003 until 2009 until falling behind Tennessee for one year. In 2011, a single Missouri county had more busts than Texas, Florida and California combined. Jefferson County, which is near St. Louis, tallied 253 seizures; the three other states had 219.

Its getting better. But Dad had another heart attack on Monday. Today is the anniversary of a friend being shot and killed on duty. The good news is Dad will be okay after they fix his old bypass surgery with a new bypass surgery.

Thank goodness Your Dad's gonna be OK.
