I like the light or laser for home Defence

Have a friend shine a 100+ lumen strobe weapon light at you at night and try to aim at you friend (with your finger NOT an actual weapon). Then tell me it doesn't give the person with the light a blinding advantage.

Never use a weapon light in the on setting or you will be a target. Either strobe it or just pop it on and off quickly as you scan the room lighting up corners or places too dark to see even with adjusted eyes (natural night vision).

Another technique for weapons lights is to hold the hand gun out to your side. You can a laser with this technique or just learn where the shot strikes within the light's pattern. Practice low light engagements and give this a try. Your assailant will only be able to see the light and fire in that direction which is a few feet to your side.

I have used both techniques with SIM rounds and they work even against people who know the techniques too.

I sold my P229 that was old style, no rail, rounded trigger guard. I still kick myself for that one.

They guys at the gun dealer/range showed me a video of a new Sig they ordered 200 of during Shot Show. It is supposed to be released in a month or so. I forget the name of it, but it was a 9mm. They seemed pretty stoked about it, but that could be because they plan to sell it for about $750. They brought it up since I was looking at smaller summer carries like the Glock 36. The "I've read & consent to the terms in IS user agreement" was pretty small.

The glock price seems a lot more reasonable

Sig is releasing a couple new ones, the 224 and the 248? which is a 9mm version of the p238 380acp. I want to get my hands on the 224 which looks really good to me.

True but it depends on what you really want and then pric isn't an issue to some people.

Thhe p238 variant is the one they showed me. Looks like a good pistol, but I prefer 45s and Glocks. They feel good to fire.

I need to do some research to see if Glock will release a Gen 4 G36 anytime soon. That will be my next purchase.

Been drooling over the Silencerco Osprey too. I fired it on a G21 today and it made the handgun a tad heavy, but I got a little used to the added weight after 50 or so shots. My groups weren't as tight as without it, but they were getting better.
