Yeah it might still be a bit chilly

Even in the summer, this creek is only in the lower 60's. Makes it a popular swimming hole when it's 100 degrees outside.

There is a spring river in Arkansas that was 52 degrees year round. I loved fishing there. Just wade in until you got numb then fish for the rest of the day.

There is a place called Wilson Creek that comes off the side of Grandfather Mountain. Even in the hottest of summers, it's around 54-55 degrees, and it's got the best swimming holes I've ever dipped my fat butt in.

I love jumping off a rock into a 12 foot deep hole of water that is so clear you can see the bottom.

It's a dangerous place though, every year there are at least a couple drownings on the river. Alcohol is usually the reason.

This place is some of the best trout fishing in the U.S.

Wilson Creek is stocked, so there's trout in it. But it's more of a swimming area than anything. Unless you go at daylight, you can't cast for the people swimming.
