Thanks for the Heads up. I'll set the mortars up to keep them at a distance. Take care JJ, I'm going to call it a night myself.

Sorry I'm late back to the party. Patty decided it was a good day to go to Mingo. Today we saw 3 coons, a muskrat only 8 deer and a snapping turtle just sedately walking across the road until we got out to take pics. Bet that thing had a shell a foot long! And MAN did he get mad when I hooked a cane on his shell so patty could get some pics. I had to keep dragging him back around as he was heading for the swamp! Then when we got back I watched the last of the Lord of the Rings. I just don't understand why Frodo had to leave as well. It was an honour bestowed upon him for being one of the ring bearers, He was setting sail for the Gray Havans (sp?). Bilbo was given the same honour because he too was a ring bearer.

If you ever decide to read the original Trilogy you will see that there was some very tragic things that happened as well. The Shire had been conquered and the hobbits were enslaved, Merry, Pippin and Sam led the revolt that freed them. After Aragorn died of old age (sort of) Arewen (sp), was heart-broken but no boat would take her to the gray havens so she wanders lonely in the forest forever heart-broken The ents never do find the ent-wives All the elves leave Middle Earth
The book has much deeper meaning than the movie

Reading the Simarilion (sp) really helps fill in the back story.

I think I may have had that book! it looks really familiar. maybe I read 2 and a half of the books and was what was next from what I was told. I may actually even have it somewhere. I was pretty into those books though.

My oldest also has the un-finished tales. I re-read the books every 4 or 5 years, probably due again for a read
