I have a few shows that I watch, but I do a lot of reading too. In the summertime I try to stay outside as much as possible, but in the wintertime I pretty much turn into a couch potato once hunting season wraps up.

60 yards? that doesnt seem like it shout be any issue to add a paying customer.

unless there is some real good reason just keep moving up the pay scale until somebody gets paid to much to be bothered. that's the person who will ge it done for you.

I get about 200 channels for the same that I paid Charter for 78 channels.

well you you can always buy your brother a nice wireless router with a big ole boosted antenna. maybe offer him a little something on his bill each month to share.

after that there's tethering with the cell phone. if the signal is good it will be faster than land line.

If my brother and I got along that would be an option.

I have used the tethering option before, but my cell signal out there is spotty too, and not the fastest around. My phone is 3g, but usually is way slower than that.

I've considered doing the wireless hotspot, but then I'd also have to buy wireless cards for all 3 of our computers.

Our life would be drastically changed without the internet. Because of Patty's health she spends a LOT of time online. Mainly on fb playing her farming games. That's OK with me, it gives her something to do. She can't do much outside for very long a time. She has suffered from heat stroke before and she DOES NOT SWEAT! She will heat up faster than you can say the sun is out. It REALLY bothers her but there just isn't anything she can do about it. To me our cable bill is VERY worthwhile just so she has something she can do.

I've debated getting satellite internet, but it's just too expensive for what I need. Besides, I seem to be just fine with using my cell phone. I haven't posted ALL of my posts on here from work!
