jj. theres a threaded muzzle adater you can order that would allow you to add the can without having to thread. even if you do thread it you might want the adatpter to use on other 10/22's down the road. Shoot me a link. I was googling for that last night. I can live with an adapter instead of paying nearly $100 to get it threaded.

I was leaning toward the Ruger myself, but I have heard a lot of good things about the marlin, plus it's less expensive.... But I really like the Ruger.

I have read a lot of reviews that say the Papoose never really returns to zero. After watching a few videos of the reviewers firing a few rounds, taking it down and putting it back, I have no don't the Ruger will return to zero.

Marshall, do you see any issues with the coupling actually using the front sight for retention. There could be a lot of shock transferred to it through the coupling/suppressor.

It is really a nice looking package and there are already tons of accessories for the Ruger, and will be even more coming out for the TD.

Also, is the barrel (specifically the front sight post portion) of the 10/22 TD identical to the standard 10/22 barrel? It has to be for those couplings to fit properly.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a threaded barrel for the TD get released by Ruger.

Wish I would have shown this to Gun Dog last night. It demonstrates well the sound difference in subsonic and supersonic ammo we were telling him about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_IcUm7i5mk

JJ i like the idea of the coupler system but without confirmation from the company on specific models and fit i think i might wait and see what your gun smith has to say, but thats just me thinking out loud.
