I figured if there wasn't any padding (didn't look like there was) that it wouldn't be to hard to fix up.

My 22/45 in it's nylon zipper case fits into the exterior pouch. There is still plenty of room in the other exterior pouch for ammo and mags for both weapons. Plus, there is still that interior pouch on the barrel assembly side. I will probably put a telescopic shooting stick in there.

Sounds like you got a plan to me. But why use the 22/45 zipper pouch. Just shove it into your Frankenholster and put them in the zippered compartment.

The Frankenholster doesn't protect the red dot.

The Frankenholster doesn't protect the red dot. I see.

I ordered a new sear, buffer (which greatly reduces action noise) and a target trigger. Next thing is the optics and a bipod.

I remember you talking about the buffer.

think the buffer keeps the hold open from working. watch a few vids and it seems easy enough to just hold the bolt open to disassemble. factory hold open is sonny anyways but I still use it when I'm not intending to fire the rifle. i started the auto release mod but didn't dremel out enough material on mines.
liked all the vids I watch on the td but good ole att throttled me down a couple days ago <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />.

I can deal with holding the bolt open.

I have a 338 winmag and a 450 marlin already. I have always wanted a 375 or 458 winchester. I figure it will take about a year for my finances to recover from putting my kids through school.
