The wound is doing ok, surprisingly I dont have to use any pain killers today...and the doc gave me a crap load of the stuff! Antibiotics is a must of course, then just cleaning etc...what did hit me was the $40 I had to pay for the bandages...? But I will rather buy it and keep the wound clean then try the cheap option.

medical supplies aren't cheap. Especially on the open market. If you have the luxury of ordering online you can usually find a much better deal.

I have gotten to the point that I keep certain things on hand. Rolls of kerlix type guaze are cheap boughten in bulk. I can get 10 rolls 4 inch by 4 feet for 10 bucks.

LOL, thats exactly what I bought and where I bought it. Its anywhere from 2-5 bucks a roll in a store here.

First aid is a must and good thing I had when the accident happened. I do realise that the house first aid however needs a lot more specialised items. I am calling it a night dogs.
