No, we didn't have any special thing at church. And yes, she will be at church Sunday, but it's probably not going to be good.

Our pastor went off the deep end again for the last two Sundays, verbally assaulting an 80 year old woman during Sunday service from the pulpit and in front of 6 visitors. He tried to insult me, but his words didn't bother me, but when he started messing with Patty, calling her a liar and saying some other things, I kind of lost it. I jumped up, shook my finger at him and told him a few things. He told me I couldn't talk to him that way and I told him I would say anything to him I wanted. I wasn't a good person, belief wise. LONG story short, AT least 10 of 13 voting members want him gone for his attitude/past actions and we will vote on it on the 15th. 1/4 of the members vote against him, and he's gone.

NONE of us truly want it, but we will not put up with his dictatorial attitude and well, we are just tired of the way he treats the members.

Now some folks will see this and say THAT'S why I don't want any part of religion. I can understand them saying that. BUT religious people are people first, open to all the faults and failings as anyone else. We just try and rise above that, but unfortunately many times do not succeed.

Well, onto something more enjoyable. I worked on my BG Parang and 311 last night here at work. Internet was down all night until about 30 minutes before I got off so I had to have something to do. I'm pretty satisfied. I might go ahead and hit the 311 on the fine hone, just for grins and giggles though.

I have never read of or heard about a religious tenant that states "thou shalt be perfect"
We have talked before about this pastor, and I am not surprised that this unfortunate situation has developed.
I TRULY hope that your Easter Service goes well and that your congregation moves forward and becomes stronger for this.

Patty and I were asked by the membership (well 9 of them anyway) to do something. We at first requested to go to a part time pastorate, meaning he would only get paid $300.00 each week and be allowed to work outside the church. THAT was the first Sunday (this time) that he threw a fit and stated he WOULD NOT do that and it would not happen as long as he was there. All this was said from behind the pulpit after delivering his sermon.

This Last time when we as stipulated in our constitution, after presenting our deacons with a letter of intent to have a called meeting and getting their determination that it was justified, presented him with the letter. He went off before and during the service time, instead of preaching.

It was NOT an easy decision and Patty and I both have been sick all week over it. Patty more than me, she has actually gotten ill over it, stomach and headaches.

Haha, I can't say the thought hasn't crossed my mind, specially the guy that raped that woman a couple weeks ago. We found out after the fact, that when our neighbor (the 80 year old teacher) daughter was doing her student teaching she caught his same guy (he's 51) masturbating in the back of the classroom in High School! AND he has been to prison Once for Rape, should have been twice the the other incident, the girl didn't press charges.
