Oh I forgot to say, a Kaiser blade is A LOT bigger! I've used one and they do a pretty good job on briars and smaller underbrush. Back in the 1970's they seemed to be common around here in many different sizes. This is the first new one that I have seen in years

The Kaiser blades I have used all had handles a tad over 3 feet long, and the blade was around 18 inches, made for a good long reaching tool.

I know that feeling. The one I used mainly was my Grandpa's and when he died Dad got it but I'm not sure Dad has it in the garage or not (Haven't seen it sense Grandpa died) and that was in 1969.

The only ones I had any experience with was the long ones. I cleared off a lot of ditch banks with that thing.
