Peace and Freedom, every sane persons wish for the world. What complicates matters is some folks thoughts of peace and freedom consists of THEM being in charge, because THEY know best of course. And maybe we're all like that but the majority of us do not try and force our thoughts of what peace and freedom means on others.

I checked out the 5.11 boot dagger. It´s a nice one! I was thinking about the self defence knife thread you started; I think a push dagger would be a good choise. It´s quite small, simple and hard to take off from someone.

I had thought of that as well and had one once, but lost it many years ago, probably in Korea.

It's called the Ringer 2 and is out of production now, but may still be available at some places.

Nasty looking for sure!

As you might remember it´s illegal to carry knifes without a spesific reason in Finland, but I often carry a 5.11 folding karambit.

They sell good knives, Sounds like Finland is like a lot of places here in the States, SELF DEFENSE isn't a reason. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

If they ever do that here, I will probably turn into a criminal, but a very discrete criminal and they will have to find it on me first. It could be tossed very easily. I believe that strongly that a person has the right to protect themselves and their families.

Here is the ones that I have forged so far.

The modest looking push dagger was forged from a round 10mm steel. It was "crap steel" as the master smith said so it didnt harden alltough I tried.

The one on the top I call Pirates butter knife and it was forged from a spring steel and water hardened.

The push dagger with a raindeer horn handle was damascus forged by MBS M. Vilppola.
