Thanks lazi. But I am almost sure I have WAY to much time on my hands, and maybe don't have a life either. Well I actually do, but with Pattys health being so unpredictable we don't get out all that much. MAYBE if this new thing they have found does pan out, they can get her fixed up and almost all the problems she is experiencing will go away.

Well, yesterday was a follow-up on last month's visit; confirming that my thyroid wasn't working properly....WAY low. So he prescribed some pills to correct the defficientcy. While I was there I had the nurse check my hand; my ring-finger keeps "locking up" and you can see and feel the tendon in my hand. Seems that it's not uncommon in men from 50-60 and later. So, another follow up visit next month and POSSIBLE hand surgery in the future. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Oh, that's just great news about your hand. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> But maybe they will get your thyroid all fixed up. Funny, they are saying Patty probably has what's called parathyroid, which has nothing to do with the thyroid gland. They are 4 small glands in the neck that has something to do with regulating calcium in the body. IF one or more of them gets messed up, it causes a whole slew of problems, 95 percent of the problems Patty has!

Well, the doctor said that the pills should take care of the thyroid problem; next month's visit will hopefully confirm that. As far as the hand.....time will tell.
